Urpi Wasi pays special attention to the nutrition program, as with an empty stomach, nothing can be achieved. From Monday to Friday, the kitchen team prepares two main meals and two snacks daily for all 350 children.
A normal day in Urpi Wasi begins with a good breakfast of homemade bread, milk, a piece of cheese, or a slurry from nutritious products such as kiwicha, beans, oatmeal or quinoa. In the break, each child gets a fruit. For noon, the children are served a rich balanced lunch with regional products such as quinoa, tarwi, beans, lentils or pumpkin with rice and vegetables or salad and soup.
